Hello lovely people! This is the Penyu adoption update about our special cat. Last week we celebrated Penyu’s fifth birthday. We adopted her more than four years ago from the Haags Dierencentrum, when she was about nine months old. At the time, she was a scared little kitty hiding in the back of a kennel.
Once she got home, however, Penyu turned out to be a lot braver. She has developed into a tough, sweet, and headstrong cat. She is fairly selective about people, but luckily she has completely opened her heart to one person in the house. Together with her big little brother Pir, she now rules the roost. No catnip toy is safe from Penyu! Her playful and curious nature provides daily fun and variety.
Penyu loves playing, exploring, and cuddling. She has clear favorites, but her energy and humor make her a real personality in the home. Her adoption shows how a safe, loving environment can help a cat build trust and show its true self.
Additionally, it’s nice to know that Penyu means “sea turtle” in Indonesian. This name fits her calm, smart, and quirky character perfectly. Thanks to her adoption, Penyu can lead a happy life where she can be both playful and affectionate.
This Penyu adoption update shows how important a second chance is for a shelter animal. With love, patience, and attention, a scared little kitty can grow into a confident and happy cat. Penyu is a wonderful example of that. 💛
