Campaigns of the Haags Dierencentrum
These campaigns focus on helping shelter animals that need extra care and attention. Some animals arrive as vulnerable kittens, while others need immediate medical help. Through targeted support, we can provide help at the right moments, exactly where it’s needed.
These campaigns make it possible to make a difference in situations where standard care is not always enough. By contributing, you directly help provide better care and a greater chance of a suitable future for these animals.
Social Medical Fund
Not every animal that comes to us has an owner who can cover the costs. The Social Medical Fund exists specifically to give stray animals in poor medical condition a second chance. Thanks to this fund, we can intervene immediately in acute medical emergencies and provide specialist care that is vital for these animals.
With this fund, we can:
Performing costly medical treatments for stray animals in poor condition.
Funding specialist procedures that fall outside of regular care.
Running targeted campaigns for specific medical trajectories (such as orthopedic surgeries).
Please note: This fund is not intended for private owners. Residents of The Hague with a low income seeking help for their own pet can make use of the Veterinary Cost Reimbursement from the Municipality of The Hague.
Kitten Campaign
Our kitten campaign focuses on young kittens that often arrive without a mother and depend on intensive care. These animals need special attention regarding nutrition, medical checks, and socialization.
With this campaign, we provide:
- shelter and safe housing
- medical care and vaccinations
- guidance toward a stable and loving home
By donating to the kitten campaign, you contribute directly to a healthy start for these vulnerable animals.
