Sustainable dream becomes reality at the Hague Animal Centre

Thanks to the Dream Cheque from the DierenLot foundation, the Hague Animal Centre is starting to make its building more sustainable! During the National Animal Aid Meeting of the DierenLot foundation on 26 April, the Hague Animal Centre received a dream cheque of no less than €127,000 for making its building more sustainable. The Animal Centre will install solar panels and infrared heating immediately!

The chairman says: “We were completely surprised and are so incredibly happy with the money. We can now make a solid start with our sustainability plan. Our 30-year-old building uses a lot of gas and the high energy bill is a major concern. Solar panels, infrared heating and smart thermostat buttons will lead to significant energy savings and a better climate in the dog shelters.”

These first steps, which DierenLot is now making financially possible, are a fantastic incentive. “We now dare to dream about the other necessary measures from our plan, such as installing a heat pump and insulating glass. In short: even after this fabulous donation, all financial support is very welcome!”
