UNIQUE CASE IN HDC: HERMAPHRODITE CAT LOVEY DISCOVERED DURING STERILIZATION

An extraordinary discovery was recently made at the Hague Animal Center clinic. The cat Lovey, originally brought in as a female, turned out to be a hermaphrodite cat. A rare phenomenon in which both male and female sex characteristics are present.

HANDKERCHIEFS…. WANTED!!!

It's that time again, we've run out of towels. In case you think we eat them, no way. But if there is giardia (that stubborn intestinal parasite) in a cat's room, then as a precaution not to spread this nasty parasite any further, we have to get rid of all the used rugs and towels in that room. So towels are now very welcome again. Quilts, comforter covers, fleece rugs and blankets too!

DISCHARGER AVENUE CLOSED

From Sunday evening, September 3 to Friday, September 15, the municipality of The Hague will close the route across Lozerlaan. To avoid prolonged inconvenience, the municipality is carrying out the work in a short period of time. The working hours will be during the day and sometimes at night. Pedestrians, (moped) cyclists, public transport and car traffic will be diverted.

We could use many helping hands in cleaning the rooms and caring for our shelter cats. If you love cats, know how to get things done and are available at least one morning a week, this is your chance. We will gladly tell you more about volunteering at the Hague Animal Shelter at the next information meeting.
