Donate for Our Shelter Animals

The Haags Dierencentrum receives hundreds of cats and dogs each year. These are animals that have been found on the streets and brought to us by the Animal Ambulance. We also take in pets whose owners can no longer care for them and need to give them up.

Medical Care in Our Own Clinic

Fortunately, we are able to provide shelter and the (medical) care the animals need. In our in-house animal clinic, they are vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and spayed. Often, dental treatments are needed, or we may have to care for an animal in poor condition. Necessary surgeries are performed by the clinic team, and for highly specialized procedures, we consult an external specialist. Donating for our shelter animals is a serious request, as together we can make a difference and give an animal a future.

Behavioral Issues, We Work on That

If there are behavioral issues, we work on them because every animal deserves a good life with a new owner. We do this in an animal-friendly way, without using corrective materials. We do not punish undesirable behavior but reward the animals when they behave well.

Ultimately, we look for the right match – who can provide the cat or dog with the home they need? This is crucial for both the animal and the new owner. It must be a success for both.
