BOARDING HOUSE CLOSED

We hereby notify you that our board has decided to close the boarding house for the remainder of the year 2025. Due to the tightness in the labor market, we will not be able to adequately fill the vacancies for animal caretakers at the boarding house by 2025. Therefore, we are unable to provide the quality of care we feel is necessary for the boarding house for animal welfare reasons.

Because we were established as a foundation for the care of stray animals, the focus of the Hague Animal Center in 2025 must continue to be on retaining the professional animal caretakers already working with us and filling vacancies for the shelter departments.

In November 2025 the situation around the shelter will be reassessed and we will publish an update on the website.
