Max is Looking for a Home
This is Max, a sweet dog who spent some time at the Hague Animal Center. After a difficult start in life, Max now has a warm and loving home thanks to his new owner. This is an example of a successful rehoming. You too can make a difference by adopting a dog and giving it a new home. Every dog is looking for an owner who can offer love, time, and attention. Can you be the one to make that difference?
Successful Rehoming
Our shelter has space for 55 dogs. We receive dogs of all types and sizes — abandoned on the street, tied to trees in parks, dogs from abroad, puppies, shepherds, and English Staffies. Upon arrival, dogs must first spend two weeks in quarantine. During this period, the original owner still has the chance to reclaim their pet. After two weeks, the legal holding period expires and we begin the search for a new, suitable home.
Tips for a Successful Adoption
To ensure a successful adoption, it’s important to prepare well. When you adopt a dog, you’re essentially welcoming a new family member. A dog is a living being with its own needs and personality. Before you adopt, ask yourself if you can offer the right care and environment. Our shelter has a wide selection of dogs looking for new homes. You can view them on our website.
