Willem is doing well 🧡
We are delighted to share another wonderful update about Willem van Oranje. As promised, we received photos and a message from his new home. It’s great to be able to say that Willem is doing excellently and is clearly enjoying his new life.
Willem feels completely at ease in his surroundings. He especially loves spending time in the garden. There, he can walk around peacefully, observe everything, and guard his territory. He clearly knows how to keep the neighborhood cats at a distance, something he does with conviction and self-confidence. It shows that he feels safe and has found his place.
As with many cats with a strong character, Willem sometimes shows his boundaries. When there are a lot of stimuli, such as unexpected noises or other cats nearby, he can occasionally lunge at people’s calves. This mainly happens at moments when he has too many impressions to process. His new owners now recognize these signals well and know how to handle them calmly and consistently. By giving him space and managing situations well, Willem continues to develop positively.
Fun and headstrong cat
Besides these small points of attention, Willem is above all a fun, sweet, and headstrong cat. He seeks contact, is curious, and is showing his soft side more and more often. His owners clearly enjoy his presence and appreciate him for who he is. Willem brings life to the house and regularly brings a smile to their faces.
For us, this is exactly why we do it. A cat that might not fit in every home, but who truly thrives in the right home. Willem now has a place where he can be himself, where he is looked after, and where he is treated with patience and understanding.
We are incredibly happy that Willem has been given this chance and wish him and his owners many more wonderful years together.
