Here is an update on Mimir, who is now called Bassie. After a short drive to the shelter, we were warmly welcomed and well-assisted. We had a lovely time cuddling with all sorts of cats and even a 4-month-old kitten, all with their own stories and personalities. In the end, two cats made our hearts melt and the choice was unanimous: we gave a beautiful 6-year-old tomcat a forever home!
Upon arriving home, Bassie walked straight out of his carrier and started exploring his surroundings. He “chatted,” cuddled a lot, and immediately started taking good care of himself. In no time at all, he felt completely at home.
Bassie constantly seeks out our 8-year-old son and loves lying with him on the couch, where they cuddle intensely. He has become a real cuddle buddy for our child and shows just how loving and playful he is.
Five days later, Bassie is an indispensable part of our family. He is lazy, mischievous, sociable, and full of love. In the morning, he clearly lets us know it’s time to get up and shares his nightly stories with us.
What a perfect match! Bassie brings fun, warmth, and joy into our home, and we are incredibly happy that we took this step.
