Organizing and communicating for Haags Dierencentrum, something for you? Become a communications and events volunteer
We are looking for several new volunteers for our Event Team and MarCom Team. Do you have a creative mind and a practical approach? Do you want to use your talent for animals and people, both in front of and behind the scenes? Then one of these roles might be just for you.
Together, we ensure that Haags Dierencentrum is visible, involved, and loved in The Hague. You can help organize events and/or contribute to our communications—whatever suits you best. Become a communications and events volunteer!
What can you do in the Event Team?
- Help out with open days, senior afternoons, school visits, and other public activities
- Represent HDC at neighborhood festivals, sports events, and fairs
- Assist with the preparation and execution of campaigns (such as World Animal Day)
- Brainstorm new ideas and target groups
Are you also interested in communications? Then you can support the MarCom Team in consultation with us.
What can you do in the MarCom Team?
- Create content for social media and our website (text, photo, or video)
- Design promotional materials such as flyers, posters, and banners
- Work on campaigns regarding adoption, donations, and volunteer recruitment
- Ensure visibility and storytelling around our animals
What are we looking for in you?
- You are enthusiastic, involved, and have a heart for animals
- You are creative, practical, and enjoy working together
- You have an affinity for communications, events – or both
- You are available for 2 to 4 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
- Experience is welcome, but not a must – we are happy to teach you!
