So happy to share: this is the Sunny and Maan adoption update. Our sweet kittens Sunny (formerly Bik) and Maan (formerly Bab) already feel completely at home after three weeks. We let them get used to the ground floor slowly: living room, sunroom, and kitchen. Later, they will also be allowed to explore the extension, which is currently still closed off. This way, they can explore their surroundings step by step.
Sunny and Maan have plenty of space to run and chase each other. After just one day, Sunny already dared to explore independently. Maan initially stayed hidden behind her big brother, but on the third day, she showed herself too and even lay at the front of the carrier. During the day, they have various sleeping spots, and at night, they sleep together in the cube of the scratching post. Meanwhile, Maan has also discovered the basket, where she loves to sleep.
We pay close attention to their safety. For now, they eat separately, because otherwise Maan eats too fast and Sunny misses his portion. They also enjoy their favorite toys together, like the gray mouse. They also love watching birds in the garden or from the platform of the scratching post. Maan even enjoys watching animal programs on TV.
Sunny is affectionate and loves sitting on your lap. He has a sunny character, hence his name. Maan is still cautious but lets herself be petted more and more often on the scratching post or in the cube. Both kittens are incredibly curious and playful. They are a wonderful addition to their new family.
