On August 22, 2024, we are sharing a special adopted dog success story. Joey, also affectionately known as Tri-Pod, was given a second chance over a year ago. After being rescued from the streets and lovingly nursed back to health, he found his forever home.
He is doing fantastic now. In his new home, he is spoiled daily with attention, toys, and delicious food. What’s more, he has gained a big brother and sister. Although his big brother sometimes finds him a bit energetic, their bond is visibly growing. Kisses and head-butts are being shared more and more often.
It was a match from the start with his sister. They sleep together, groom each other, and run enthusiastically through the house. They also enjoy playful wrestling matches. Because of this, Joey feels like a complete part of the family.
A life full of freedom and trust
Joey has a spacious balcony where he can enjoy the sun and curiously hunt for bugs. There are also plenty of nice spots inside to play and rest. In short, he has everything he needs.
His missing leg is no hindrance at all. On the contrary, he moves effortlessly through the house. Sometimes he even forgets he’s missing a leg and tries to catch a fly with it. This leads to funny moments, but above all, it shows how good he feels.
This adopted dog success story proves that a dog with a disability can also fully enjoy a happy and active life. Joey is glowing and shows every day just how much resilience and love a rescued dog has inside.
