Dear people at the Haags Dierencentrum,
Here is an update on Sir Henry. He has been with us for over three weeks now and we can no longer imagine our home without him. From the very first week, he walked around confidently as if he had lived here for years. Fortunately, he immediately knew how to find his litter box, water fountain, and food bowl.
It is almost hard to believe that Henry was once afraid of people. Every day he comes for an extensive kneading session before plopping down contentedly on a lap. He lets us pet him, pick him up, and happily walks with us throughout the house. Sometimes a bit too enthusiastically, because before you know it, you’re almost stepping on his tail.
He plays fanatically several times a day. Hide-and-seek and sprinting after a ball through the hallway are absolute favorites. His energy and cheerfulness bring life to the house every day.
It’s striking that Sir Henry also enjoys visitors. Even when the house is full, he joins in to ask for attention. He does keep a close eye on us, though. If it gets too busy for him, he quietly retreats to his usual spot under the dining table or on a chair.
Additionally, he is starting to understand our rhythm perfectly. He knows exactly when it’s mealtime and often starts giving subtle – and sometimes less subtle – hints half an hour in advance. In the morning, that sometimes means a slightly too early alarm clock, but for this furry charmer, we gladly take that in stride.
In short: things are going fantastically. We are incredibly happy with our handsome, sweet master of the house. Thank you for all the good care for Sir Henry!
