An exciting start in a new home
Hello dear animal lovers,
Here is a small update on Prada. On the first day she was, as expected, very scared. But on Friday evening, with some food and a feather toy, she quickly came out of her shell. She seemed to realize she had found her new home.
From hiding to relaxing
From hiding on the floor, she went to lying under the dining table, then on the chairs, and now she just lies wherever she wants. The first cautious pets are already allowed, but as good staff I am mainly commanded to play or bring food and drink 😄.
Always hungry and plenty of playtime
I do have to be careful, because she prefers to eat all her kibble at once. She now gets it divided into two portions, because she is hungry almost all day long. Just like her need for play sessions, which are plentiful here.
Favorite toys and bird watching
I gave her a “professional” fishing rod toy with various attachments as a gift, but the little bird is clearly the favorite. Catnip toys are also very popular, and watching the birds outside from her scratching post is a favorite pastime.
Visitors with a dog? No problem
Even the first visitors, who brought a dog, didn’t bother Prada much. No interaction, but no fear either. And as soon as they were gone, she immediately came to demand playtime. Oh yes, the staff (me) is being well-trained here.
A happy and healthy housemate
All in all, Prada is doing great. I’ve insured her, so she is safe and happy. Given her beautiful shiny coat and the often content, happy look on her face, I think she is also in good health.
