Luusje proves that age doesn’t matter: a senior dog full of love
Luusje is living proof that you should never judge a dog by age or first impressions. This sweet senior dog is now around 16 to 17 years old and still full of character, gentleness, and surprising energy. Luusje was picked up in May 2014, after being estimated to be about five years old at the end of 2013. Since then, she has grown into an indispensable part of her family.
A senior with spirit and a big heart
Although Luusje has become a bit calmer and her walks are slightly shorter, she still has plenty of spirit. A quick sprint after the coots? She doesn’t need to be told twice. According to the vet, Luusje is still very fit for her age, apart from a slight heart murmur. That makes her a strong and resilient senior dog.
Gentle and loving family member
Upon arrival, it was advised as a precaution that Luusje should not be placed with children or small pets because her past was unknown. In practice, this turned out to be completely different. Luusje is actually incredibly sweet, gentle, and social. Countless moments have been captured where children are sleeping against her and where she lives harmoniously with various cats, including her big feline friend Ninja.
