What fantastic news to start the week with. We recently received a lovely update about Blurr, who moved from our center to his new home a while ago. His quirky personality is starting to shine through more and more, and it’s wonderful to hear.
From the wardrobe to the living room
In the beginning, Blurr found everything in his new environment quite daunting. The wardrobe was his favorite safe haven during the first few weeks. Fortunately, with a healthy dose of steady love, patience, and of course the right snacks, a lot of work has gone into building his confidence. Blurr is now coming out of his shell more and more.
Proper, long cuddles are still a step too far at the moment, but Blurr prefers to be near his new owners all day to keep a close eye on what they’re doing.
Hilarious new hobbies and ghost hunting
Now that he’s feeling safer, Blurr is starting to show his funny side. His owners let us know that he has developed some hilarious new hobbies. For instance, he loves sniffing feet, can spend ages looking at himself in the mirror, and likes to watch his owners from a strategic distance. He’s also very active with the toy wand and regularly goes on solo “ghost hunts” through the house.
Healthy and well
Besides his mental progress, there’s also fantastic news on the medical front: Blurr is completely free of bladder stones. Although, he still happily munches on the special urinary treats he was given for it. So, those are definitely staying in his routine.
Blurr is still a little skittish and jumpy with unexpected movements or noises, but his owners can already see it: there’s a huge cuddle bug hidden inside him that will surely come out even more in the near future. Here at the shelter, we’re absolutely melting at this update and wish Blurr and his owners many more happy years together.
