The Haags Dierencentrum (HDC) is proud to be nominated for a special recognition in 2023. This nomination highlights the center’s significant social importance and its daily work for animal welfare in The Hague and the surrounding area.
This places the Haags Dierencentrum among many other committed organizations. All these initiatives are dedicated to a more social, stronger, and more inclusive city. Together, they show how important social involvement is.
Recognition for commitment and animal welfare
The Haags Dierencentrum takes in dogs and cats every day. In addition, the animals receive medical care, such as dental treatments. Animals with behavioral problems also receive guidance. As a result, they don’t just get a second chance, but also a good start in a new home.
This nomination is therefore a wonderful appreciation for employees, volunteers, and partners. At the same time, the recognition shows how indispensable the work of the Haags Dierencentrum is within the city.

Haagse Zwemvereniging Triton, Nour+, Pluk en Pleej, and RESPECT Wonen.Zorg.Welzijn are also part of the list.
Furthermore, Stichting Anton Constandse, Stichting BuitenLeeft, Stichting Community Plus, and Stichting Destiny Social Events have been nominated. Stichting Dosti, Stichting Escamp voor vrouwen, Stichting Eykenburg, and Stichting Harlin are also among the selection. Stichting JESS, Stichting Veilig Spoorwijk, and Stichting Voedselbank Haaglanden were also mentioned.
Finally, Straat Consulaat, The Black Hague Experience, Theater De Regentes, Volkskeuken, and YMCA Ypenburg are on the list. This broad selection demonstrates the strength of the social network in The Hague.
Motivation for the future
For the Haags Dierencentrum, the nomination is a moment of pride. Moreover, it provides extra motivation to keep going. Together with volunteers, partners, and donors, the animal center continues to dedicate itself to animals in need, working towards a caring and sustainable future.
