Georgie is doing so well! After leaving the Haags Dierencentrum, the car ride to her new home was quite exciting. That’s why she initially hid away for a bit to get used to things. However, it didn’t take long, as she soon missed the cuddles and went looking for her new owners again.
After a cozy hour of cuddling, her exploration began. Every nook and cranny was thoroughly investigated. Meanwhile, her owners bought new things, such as a soft basket, toys, and a scratching board. Yet, the sofa proved much more attractive for sharpening her claws. She also quickly found her permanent spot in bed, where she could rest wonderfully.
A week later, a large scratching post with baskets and scratching options even appeared. Still, Georgie prefers a spot on a lap or cozily on the bed. Especially the blanket she brought with her from the shelter is her absolute favorite. As soon as she lies on it, she starts purring loudly with happiness.
Now, a month after her adoption, Georgie is eating and drinking well. She finds liquid snacks especially irresistible. In addition, she sometimes tries to sneak a bite while her owners are cooking. Her enthusiasm is great, especially when the toy wand comes out. Then she sprints through the house as if she’s really on the hunt.
After her ‘zoomies’, she crawls contentedly into bed next to her owners. In short, adopted cat Georgie feels completely at home. She enjoys cuddles, plays plenty, and has only one wish: even more food.
