Vera

Vera is a sociable and very active lady of 2 years young. She has been in the shelter for a while now. Vera had a litter of kittens, but they were no longer with her when she was found. Vera needed some time to settle into the shelter. In the beginning, she didn’t want to be petted very much.

That is going much better now. However, being picked up or having a long petting session isn’t really her thing yet. Vera is bursting with energy and needs to let it out. She regularly turns her kennel completely upside down because she’s batting a mouse or ball across the space. Vera regularly looks longingly out the window and dreams of the window opening so she can head outside. Unfortunately, that’s not an option for her just yet.

We are looking for a nice household for Vera where she will have the opportunity to stretch her legs outside. Vera is a bit hesitant toward new people in a strange environment at first. A home with older children who are already somewhat used to cats might work. Does Vera appeal to you, and would you like to give her a nice place where she can just be herself?
