Pops

We would like to introduce our Pops to you!

Pops is a sociable, slightly stout, 5-year-old Pug. She came from a home where she lived with many other dogs and a few cats. Pops found the company and the busyness of the other dogs a bit too much. She made this clear by snapping at the other dogs. We listened to Pops and she was allowed to live on her own with us. She is doing fine now without other dogs, but being completely alone is very lonely for a companion dog, which is why she is now looking for a lap of her own to lie on with our help.

Pops came to us with very bad teeth. As a result, several teeth were removed shortly after. Because her tongue is much too long for her mouth, it now always hangs out. This results in a lot of drooling, which is definitely something her future owner must be able to handle. Because if there’s one thing Pops loves to do, it’s licking you all over with loving kisses!

Pops enjoys going for walks outside. She gets very excited as soon as she sees her harness, and it’s quite a challenge to get her into it. Once her harness is on, she walks along nicely. Her fitness wasn’t great when she arrived. That’s why we are building up the walks slowly and making them a bit longer each time.

Pops has always lived with other dogs and her previous owner was home almost all the time. Therefore, we don’t expect that she has learned to be home alone. This will have to be built up very slowly and step by step. Pops is also not yet house-trained at the moment. Her future owner must be willing to teach her this again.

We are looking for an owner for Pops who can guide her calmly and give her time to get used to her new life. We are looking for a home where no other dogs live.
