A few months ago, we adopted Bram, who had already been staying at the Haags Dierencentrum for six months. This big tomcat was quite shy at first, and we wondered if he might be carrying trauma from his past. On the website, he was even described as the “champion of looking pathetic.” Still, we felt a connection and decided to give him a new home.
Since then, Bram has grown into our best friend and the ultimate champion of relaxation. He is the perfect companion for watching a series on the couch or reading a book in the garden. He also enjoys chasing after his toys, though we usually see him with a relaxed little face and his eyes half or completely closed.
Bram’s new adventures and character
Bram shows that he can be not only sweet but also a little mischievous. Every now and then, he picks a fight with other tomcats in the neighborhood, but of course, that’s all part of defending his territory. Other than that, he is mostly calm, sociable, and completely at ease in his new surroundings.
In short, Bram feels completely at home and brings peace and joy to our daily lives. His story proves that a cat with a shy past can still become a loving and loyal friend.
