What a wonderful initiative

Over the past few weeks, the Vlierboomschool has been the center of a heartwarming campaign. A large group of enthusiastic students worked incredibly hard to gather as much support as possible for the dogs and cats in our shelter. The result is truly overwhelming: the students raised no less than €1,695 in donations and dropped off mountains of much-needed supplies.
For weeks, the students were busy collecting food, toys, tasty treats, warm beds, and stacks of towels. Last week, all the items were brought to the Haags Dierencentrum, and we certainly knew it! In no time at all, our entire hallway was packed from front to back with all the donated goods. Our animal caretakers couldn’t believe their eyes.
A fantastic result
In addition to the huge mountain of physical items, the children also raised a wonderful amount of money. The total ended at no less than €1,695. We can put this money to very good use for the medical care, food, and housing of the animals currently waiting for a new home.

It is heartwarming to see how involved and concerned young people are with the fate of our shelter animals. This campaign shows that no matter how old or young you are, together you can make a huge difference.
