Sometimes life turns out differently than hoped. Bhodi recently returned to us once again. After his second placement, his last owner was unfortunately no longer able to provide care due to health reasons. Therefore, it was decided that Bhodi can look for a place from here at the Haags Dierencentrum where he will receive the care he needs.
An intensive medical check-up
Because we already know Bhodi well, we knew that his teeth are a cause for concern (partly genetic). After a thorough inspection, a new dental treatment proved necessary, during which we unfortunately had to extract several more teeth.
In addition, a lump on his back worried us. After an initial biopsy, we fortunately received good news: it appeared to be a benign tumor. To be one hundred percent certain, we completely removed the lump and sent it to the laboratory for further investigation.
An anxious time
Procedures for Bhodi are always extra nerve-wracking. This is because he has to be ventilated during almost the entire treatment while under anesthesia, for unknown reasons. However, our veterinarians pulled him through fantastically once again. Despite the tense moments, everything went well and Bhodi was able to start recovering peacefully.
Bhodi is a fighter with a gentle character. He has fully recovered from his surgeries, so we are looking for a forever home where he can hopefully settle down for the very last time.
